ENTRY 002: FRIEND or FAN

May 21st, 2025. I did my first social media post regarding the PYREX Project. I currently have zero followers and I following zero people.


Now, I could have changed that, but I didn't want to. You know, I could have let my family and friends, know adds to that. Hey, follow me, follow me, follow me, did the same thing, followed them, but doing things differently, I want to start from scratch and and I want to put in the effort all the way as if I'm a nobody and I'm not known and I have no one because it's initially that's how business is done.


Personal and business are two different things. Now with a personal account, yeah, post post, post shows you do you, family friends, all that. Or even when you' just out and about networking or going to school, going to work, going outside, going to parties and all that, you're meeting new people, you're doing a couple of things.


But in this sense, the social network is like business because at the end of the day, there will be something that I'm trying trying to sell, make profit off of and do business with. And when you're doing business, you have to remember that even when your family and friends support you, that don't mean you actually have a good idea, a good product, is when the people that don't know you become basically your family and friends. But in those terms, they become loyal customers, loyal fan base.


So it's the same thing here. Loyal fan base. So you're trying to put out something and you want to see if it's good.


You want to see how how good you are if it's really something because your family amd friends because they love you or they care for you. There's a couple of things. They don't want to break your heart.


They don't want to seem like it a hater. They don't want to, what's the word I'm looking for? It's not deteriorate.

 
What's the word that begins with a D? They don't want to, they basically don't want to stop you from pursuing your dreams, your goals, or your ideas and whatever that you're trying to do. They want you to do it, see what happens. How it goes, and just take it from there.

So, in this case, for me, my family and friends, they have nothing to prove in me. For every crazy idea, hustle, product, business, whatever that I had, they always supported me. So that's why this time around, I'm leaving them out of it.


Now, if they happen to come across my product, my business, and all that later on, and now I do to me telling them, buy this, go here, visit here, follow here. That's even better because that means what I'm doing is working and that's what it's about.. So right now, even when I did that post, I did the hashtags and everything, no likes, no followers as of right now.


Wasn't like an instant thing. Social media and Instagram and all that has the algorithm thing going on. And yeah, so I'm not even about even trip off that.


I know I got to put in the work and see what happens. And I'm going to do this for like the first two weeks or so. or maybe just the week before. June 20th because the Econ Summer project officially launches on June 20th.


And I do want to have a couple of people with that, and I have a couple of things that I want to test out, so we don't see how that goes. Hopefully it works out well.
